Guardian Program
At The Wright Doodle Co., we believe every dog deserves to be a beloved member of a family.
One of the ways we stay true to that belief is through our Guardian Home Program. Rather than keeping multiple breeding dogs in our own home, we partner with carefully selected families who provide our dogs with the love, attention, and daily family life they deserve.
Our Guardian Home Program has played a vital role in allowing us to grow our program without compromising our values. It enables us to expand responsibly while ensuring that every breeding dog is raised as a cherished family companion, receiving the individual attention and care that all dogs deserve.
For families, the program offers a unique opportunity to welcome a high-quality, health-tested doodle into their home without the full upfront purchase price typically associated with purchasing one. We handle the breeding-related responsibilities, while guardian families get the joy of raising, loving, and sharing everyday life with an exceptional dog.
While the dog becomes a loved and valued member of your family, The Wright Doodle Co. retains ownership and breeding rights for an agreed-upon number of litters. During this time, the dog lives with you full-time and enjoys life as your family pet. We work closely with our guardian families throughout the process and strive to make the experience as positive and rewarding as possible for everyone involved.
Once the dog has fulfilled their responsibilities within our breeding program, their contract is considered complete. At that time, females are spayed, full ownership is transferred to the guardian family, and the dog continues living exactly where they belong, with the family who has loved and cared for them from the very beginning. They remain your companion for the rest of their life.
Guardian homes are an essential part of our program and allow us to continue raising exceptional puppies while ensuring that our breeding dogs enjoy the loving family life they deserve.
